Dr. Sayeema Daudi is a fellowship trained Gynecologic Oncologist, from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, in Buffalo, New York. Prior to this, she attended the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
As a Gynecologic Oncologist, Dr. Daudi treats cancers of the female genital tract, with the most common being uterine, ovarian and cervix cancer. Gynecologic oncology is unique among all cancer specialties as Dr. Daudi not only performs cancer surgery but can also administer chemotherapy if needed. As part of the specialty, Dr. Daudi is extensively trained in radiation therapy and is closely involved in this aspect of treatment for her patients. Finally, Dr. Daudi is also trained in palliative care and values providing the compassionate transition into the end of life care. Taken together, a gynecologic oncologist, such as Dr. Daudi places importance in serving as the primary care provider for her patients during their cancer journey.
Minimally invasive surgery, most specifically, robotic surgery has revolutionized the surgical treatment of gynecologic patients under Dr. Daudi’s care. The minimally invasive surgical approach has allowed a shortened recovery period for her patients so that they can more quickly begin their next phase of treatment if one is necessary. Dr. Daudi highlights her treatment philosophy as a cancer specialist to keep the focus of treatment on the patient and not cancer. She maintains importance on tailoring the treatment with a goal to improve and maintain a quality of life. Dr. Daudi strives to provide her patients with top quality, multidisciplinary approach to the management of cancer in a patient-centric and supportive fashion.
When Dr. Daudi is not working, she likes to be active! Dr. Daudi has found that painting ceramics helps her to balance the stress from work. Dr. Daudi’s favorite recreational activity is rollerblading and she tries to experience new trails on her adventures.
