Dr. Laura Champagne is a board certified General Surgeon who has been in clinical practice since 2004. Her professional interests are focused on the treatment of all types of breast disease with an emphasis on the treatment of breast cancer. Dr. Champagne takes pride in making patient-specific treatment recommendations while using an evidence-based approach. She engages in collaborative, multidisciplinary breast cancer care for each patient. Treatment decisions are coordinated with the medical oncologist, radiation oncologists, and plastic surgeons.
Her surgical repertoire includes: oncoplastic breast surgery, hidden scar breast surgery, simple skin sparing and nipple sparing mastectomies, modified radical mastectomies, lumpectomies, partial mastectomies, sentinel lymph node biopsies, lymph node dissections, venous access for chemotherapy, partial breast radiation catheter placement, ultrasound-guided core breast biopsies, and open surgical biopsies.
Dr. Champagne is a member of The American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She is hidden scar certified. Dr. Champagne was recognized by Phoenix Magazine as a “Top Doc” in 2011 and 2018. She joined Ironwood Women’s Centers in July 2016.
