How to Make Authentic Homemade Hummus and Vegetables

Summer in Arizona means lots of backyard barbeques and time in the pool! Quick and easy homemade snacks are an excellent option to enjoy on the weekends.

In this video, Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers dietician Kinda Peterson, MS, RD, CSO will teach you the secret to making an authentic creamy hummus using fresh vegetables.

Hummus is a simple low-fat spread that is packed full of fiber.  Making hummus at home may help to reduce the amount of sodium that is found in the store-bought brands.  You can add a variety of seasonings and fresh vegetables to customize your hummus flavor.
